Poggio Casa is an 18th century farmhouse that was completely restructured and renovated two years ago. Today it is a comfortable country house. The house is surrounded by a well-kept lawn, rich with ornamental plants, flowers and various types of roses. At the back of the house is a gazebo with a table and chairs where you can enjoy moments of relaxation ‘al fresco’. A few feet away there is a beautiful infinity swimming pool whose colours reflect those of the nearby lake Lago di Chiusi, offering a splendid visual of the surrounding area.
On the first floor there are 2 twin or double bedrooms each with screens and ensuite bathroom with shower. The 3rd bedroom is furnished with a single bed and 2 twin beds and has an ensuite bathroom with shower on a mezzanine floor overlooking the living room. Also on the first floor is the living room with big fireplace and a double sofa bed, the fully-equipped kitchen with dishwasher, and a little tower for bird watching. On the large ground floor is the laundry room with washer, and also storage rooms. This property is ideal for a family holiday in Italy.
The property’s land has been recognised as a WWF oasis because of the distinctive ecosystem present in the area but especially because of the presence of different breeds of bird which reproduce in the particular bushy willows. The WWF has a storehouse within the property of Poggio Casa but its entrance is separate and so your privacy is guaranteed. The house can be easily reached from the town of Chiusi with an asphalt road and then 500 metres of well-maintained gravel road. On the banks of the lake there is a restaurant that can be reached on foot in about 10 minutes. The local roads are ideal for long bicycle rides and mountain bikes are available for your use. On about a 1,5 kilometre distance there is an agriturismo managed by the owner of the property where it is possible to have free internet access shared with the other guests. It is also possible to organise an introductory course about olive oil produced by the farm.
