Fontanelle is without doubt one of our loveliest Tuscan properties for a holiday in Italy. It is located to the west of Montalcino, an area renowned for its beauty and for its wines, especially the famous Brunello di Montalcino. The property is in a spectacular position, surrounded by vineyards, olive trees, cypresses and with views of the surrounding hills.

The house has recently been restored and furnished to an exceptionally high standard by the owner, a well-known Italian interior designer. The house has been featured in several magazines and books, including House and Garden, Elle Décor and Tuscany Interiors. The rooms have been painted and furnished throughout in warm yellows and terracottas, which blend perfectly with the brick tiled floors, exposed beams and sunny open spaces. The magnificent living room with vaulted ceilings opens to the rear of the house to a pretty terrace with vines, pots of flowers and views over the countryside. Off this terrace is a covered dining terrace, also with wonderful views.

On the ground floor there is a living room room with fireplace, French windows opening onto the terrace and garden, a dining room opens onto the Covered dining terrace, a fully equipped kitchen, and double bedroom and ensuite bathroom. On the first floor there are 2 bedroom with 4-poster king size bed and ensuite bathroom, a double bedroom and ensuite bathroom, a twin bedroom and ensuite bathroom, and a sitting room with TV, fireplace and sofa bed..

DISTANCES: Montalcino (nearest village with shops, P/O) is 9kms, Siena is 50kms and Grosseto (coast) is 45kms.

A chef, heating and telephone available for an additional charge. There is deposit upon check-in of €250 for the telephone. Extra maid service is €13 per hour. All of these 'a la carte" services are paid locally with Euros and are subject to change.

This house sleeps 10 people. There is a separate Guest House approximately 50 meters from the main house, which has a total of 3 bedrooms, and can sleep up to 6 people. It is available at an extra cost upon request.

Rentals are from Saturday to Saturday only.
